A Nigerian Customs officer has accidentally killed an unidentified innocent man returning from abroad today 17th February 2019.
This incident occurred along Benin-Ore road.
According to a whatsapp user Ogechukwu Cindy who shared the information with Mimi's Blog, the customs officer accidentally shot the young man dead when he tried to load a bullet in his gun during an argument.
The victim of the extortion was said to have departed from Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, earlier today along with his friends and was traveling down to the eastern region of Nigeria when accosted by the Customs officers.
When they couldn't find any exhibit on him, the customs officers asked him to settle them with N5,000 to enable them purchase fuel but he refused, complaining that it was way too much.
And they got into an argument.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the argument got heated up, and one the Customs officers accidentally killed this young man while trying to load his gun.
Upon realizing what had happened, the customs officers tried to escape but unfortunately for them, they were stopped by the victim's friends and dealt with badly.
