Last week, we updated a news regarding a young man that butchered his mum to death in Uzzeba, Owan West LGA of Edo State on Friday, April 8th due to reasons unknown (see here) but now Daily Trust has identified the man as 36-year-old Segun Odihiri and revealed reasons why the horrible act was done..
Based on the news gotten from Daily Trust, the suspect beheaded his 83-year-old mother, Maria Odihiri, for alerting the public while he was trying to sexually force himself on his own daughter. The deceased raised an alarm and started screaming when she caught her son in the act and this prompted him to hack her with a cutlass in order to cover up his shame.
According to a witness by name Mr. Ekemeiren Ojekhugbo, said the Killer Mr Segun always threatened to kill his mother anytime they had an argument.
Mr Ojekhugbo also said that after Segun's mum raised an alarm, he picked up a cutlass and cut off his mother's head in order to cover up his shame while the daughter ran for safety and also that he (Segun) earlier hid the body of the woman but was caught while attempting to dispose of it.
Segun Odihiri was later taken to the Owan West Divisional Police Command in Sabongida Ora.
What a big Shame!!! May God have mercy on him!
