This morning, South Korean court has sentenced the heir to
the Samsung dynasty and the most powerful tycoon in South Korea, Lee Jae-yong, to
five years in prison after being convicted of bribery and embezzlement.
He was found guilty Friday for his part in a sensational
corruption scandal that had already brought down South Korea's former
president.
The case has gripped the public amid growing anger against
South Korea's biggest companies, known as chaebols.
