History was made on the 19th of May, 2018 at Windsor Castle, home to the the English royal family for nearly 1,000 one thousand years. In a ceremony that followed every nuance of tradition -- the event proved to be unconventional, compelling, inclusive and modern.
Prince Harry, 33, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and son of Princess Diana, married Meghan Markle, 36, an American actress and advocate, at Windsor Castle.
The ceremony was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, United Kingdom.
Harry, now the Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel which will make Ms. Markle after the wedding to be known as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.
Isn't it amazing, an American actress marrying into Britain's royal family before a global audience?
In the scheme of things, this particular marriage is not all that important, Harry afterall is only sixth in line to the throne. But Ms. Markle is a highly unusual royal bride;
'She’s American, divorced, three years older than Harry, had a high-profile career and is biracial'.
Wow! It’s indeed a new day for the monarchy.
Prince Harry may never ascend to the throne, but that's given him the chance to be a royal true to himself – and that's clearly an attribute not lost on Meghan Markle.
The town of Windsor, England was packed with well-wishers ranging from high profiled personnels, top celebrities to family and friends for the worldwide celebration.
Oprah Winfrey was there, Elton John, Serena Williams, and the Clooneys and the Beckhams were also spotted at the event.
The wedding dress was by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.
The sermon was by the Most Rev. Michael Curry.

Role Model;
Duchess Meghan of Sussex is not just an unlikely figure in the British monarchy, but all of the United Kingdom. She's a biracial American, the daughter of a black woman and a white man. But that gives her an opportunity to change perceptions and attitudes about race and identity, especially for younger generations.
Beautiful pictures!!
