Breaking!! Tension As Herdsmen Attack Another Community In Enugu, Macheted One! (Details)



Another community in Enugu has been attacked by a group of suspected herdsmen on Sunday 1st July and a security guard was badly matcheted. 


According to online source, it was gathered that the incident, which occurred at Okpanku community in Aniri Local Government Area of Enugu State on Sunday, angered the community youths, who are preparing to go all out for reprisal attack.



A community leader narrated the incident saying; 
“the Fulani herdsmen were walking across the community with their cattle, when, suddenly, the herders entered the compound of one Eric Ogudu and started plucking mangoes.



“The security guard in that compound (name withheld) tried to stop them, but they refused and in the ensuing tiff, they gave him several machete cuts on his arms and shoulder.



“The guard started shouting ‘Fulani people don kill me ooo’. Immediately, the attention of the people were drawn and the villagers came and pursued them,” a source disclosed.



The spokesman of the police in Enugu, Superintendent of Police, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the attack on the community.



According to him, “Police have commenced investigation into the matter.”
