The founder of Grace and Power Prophetic Ministry International, Pastor David Elijah, popularly called Miracle Pastor was attacked on Thursday, 7th September 2018, by Assassins.
The gunmen opened fire on him in Anambra state after trailing him from Enugu.
The middle-aged pastor was said to have had his body hit by the bullets.
But viral pictures and claims making the rounds have held that the bullets did not penetrate the pastor.
The pictures showed that the bullets tore through his cloths but none penetrated his body.
His car too had perforations of bullet holes on the screen and roof.
The incident reportedly occurred a few metres from the B Division of the Anambra State Police Command in the Anambra State Secretariat area of Awka, the state capital.
According to a source close to the Pastor, the assailants had demanded N5m from the victim for an undisclosed purpose but were offered N1m, which they allegedly rejected.
He went on to say; “As soon as they got to his church, they opened fire on the pastor. They snatched some undisclosed amount of money from him, leaving him unconscious. His vehicle was riddled with bullets.”
A witness named Johnson said he was passing by when he saw some persons pulling out a man from a shattered vehicle.
Johnson said; “When I enquired, I was told that he was the pastor of the church. Who knows what he must have done to attract this kind of treatment to himself?”
