U.S. Court Issues Arrest Warrant Against Air Peace Airline CEO, Allen Onyeama (Screenshot)

The United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia has issued an arrest warrant against the Chairman and CEO of Nigerian airline, Air Peace Limited, Allen Onyema, for alleged money laundering and bank fraud.

Allen Onyema is accused of moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through United States bank accounts.

He was indicted in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.

Following the issuance of the warrant of arrest, the Air Peace boss might be extradited to face the charges against him due to the extradition treaty between Nigeria and the United States which allows the extradition of suspects in both countries facing criminal charges.

Premium Times in an exclusive report on Saturday, November 23, said court documents it cited showed that the warrant was signed by Justin Anand, an American magistrate of the US District Court of the Northern District of Georgia, on November 19.
