There is pandemonium currently in some major parts of Lagos state including Ijora as touts, bike and keke riders have taken to the street to protest the recent ban on commercial motorcycles better known as Okada.
Recall the Lagos State Government banned Okada and Keke in Lagos.
The ban took effect from February 1, 2020. It also affected Oride, Gokada and other motocycle hailing services.
Videos being circulated shows that police men have now gotten involved, shooting spontaneously and currently clashing with the protesters.
In one of the videos, a passenger was heard saying that the windscreen of his bus was smashed with a stone and it shattered on him.
A twitter user who shared clips from the scene also revealed that the clash is between the aggrieved Okada riders and Police in Ijora advising people to avoid the route for now.
