Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie Trolled For Advising The Pope To Allow Catholic Priests Get Married (Screenshots)

It is no longer news that Catholic priests dedicate their entire lives to worshipping God. They are required not to have any sexual relations, no marriage, and to remain celibate all their lives to keep them holy and focused on things of God.

In recent times, the world has recorded few scandals surrounding some priests who couldn't maintain their sacred vow to God by remaining celibate all their lives, thereby resulting to a number of people asking the Pope who is regarded ad the Supreme Pontiff, the highest authority for the whole Catholic Church to review that law.

Well, popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has taken to social media to share his opinion on Catholic Priests remaining celibate all their lives.

According to the movie star on his official  twitter handle, now that he is older, he believes Catholic priests should be allowed to get married, also adding that no one should question his statement.

Patrick Egaga tweeted:
“Certainly older but not wiser in this case. You don't solve a problem by introducing a problem. Priestly celibacy is the only reason there is sense or a claim to a possible hold for morality in the world today. And of course the only reason that church stands...”

Stan Stallion wrote:
“I beg to disagree Sir Yul... Once Priests start getting married, Catholicism would begin to fade. That Oath of Celibacy makes them Fathers of the church but once they have a family, it becomes a family business and then our Faith as Catholics become threatened”

Ekweali Adaoma said:
“Sir Yul, the call to be a priest is not for just anyone. To say you're white and turn blue along the way is an integrity issue, the one who can't, please, should not! If they try and can't anymore they should just take a bow... Some people truly are noble.”
