Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Bayelsa and Kebbi states have recorded their first cases of coronavirus which has killed thousands of people globally.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that the four states recorded one case each on Sunday 26th April.
As at 11:50 pm on April 26th, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 91 new cases of the infectious disease, Covid-19 in Nigeria, pushing the total confirmed cases to 1273.
Breaking down the 91 new cases to the states they originated from, NCDC tweeted;

NCDC further disclosed that while a total of 239 people have been discharged, 40 people have been confirmed dead.

NCDC revealed that One case previously reported in Lagos, is now an Ondo State case, also stating that the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos is 731, and 8 in Ondo.
