President Buhari's Chief Of staff, Abba Kyari, Dies From Coronavirus (Photos)



The presidency has announced the death of the chief of staff to the  president, Mallam Abba Kyari.

The deceased who was in his 70s was the top official aide to President Muhammadu Buhari and one of the most powerful men in the country.





He died after contracting the infectious disease, Covid-19 which according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has risen to 493 confirmed cases and 17 deaths in Nigeria. 





Late Kyari had tested positive to the deadly worldwide disease, COVID-19 and had been receiving treatment an unknown location.
But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

His death was announced by the official spokesman to the president, Garba Shehu in a tweet on Friday.

It read;

The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari,” 


The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020,” he said in a second tweet.

Garba Shehu also disclosed tha funeral arrangements of late Kyari would be announced soon.
