As at 8th May, 2020, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 386 new cases of the infectious disease, Coronavirus in Nigeria, pushing the total to 3912.
Breaking down the 386 new cases to the states they originated from, NCDC tweeted;

From the above, it could be seen that Lagos has once again recorded the highest number of cases in one day.
NCDC further disclosed that while a total of 679 people have been discharged, 117 people have been confirmed dead.
A day ago, NCDC reported 107 deaths and in less than 24 hours, the figure has increased to 117, which means Nigeria has lost 10 more citizens in a space of 24hrs.
