Voting portals of Big Brother Naija, the most popular reality show in Africa, officially opened on the 27th of July, 2020.
After several demands from lovers of the show on how to vote, I have decided to share details on how to vote for your favorite BBNaija 2020 housemate via SMS, Web and Mobile App.
I will also show you platforms on were you can get daily updates on BBN Nominations, Weekly Evictions and Voting Polls result.

How to Vote for your favorite BBnaija Lockdown Housemate;
First of all note that there are now four ways fans can vote;
- SMS (Nigeria only)
- Mobile site,
- Desktop website
- My DStv or the GOtv App (Active Nigerian DStv or GOtv subscribers only).
How to vote on BBNaija 2020 Using SMS (Nigerias Only)
Voting via SMS is only available in Nigeria, if you’re from other Africa Countries, you should check below for other voting method alternative.
To vote for your favourite Housemate via SMS, simply text the word ‘VOTE’ and the name of the Housemate to 32052.
As an example, if you were voting for Laycon, your text would be, “VOTE Laycon”.
One SMS equals one vote and you can vote up to 100 times if you wish.
Each SMS will cost N30.
Participating Networks: MTN, AIRTEL and 9MOBILE.
How To Vote On Mobile website
To vote via mobile website, you’ll have to register first.
How To Register:
Register to vote via the Africa Magic mobile site — africamagic.tv/bigbrother
- Click On The Vote Menu Item.
- Click On Register and enter your Details (Name, Surname, Year Of Birth, Gender and Cell Phone Number)your preferred password.
Note: Your cellphone number should be typed in the International format E.G. +234000000
- You Will Receive An OTP (One Time Authentication Pin) Via SMS.
- Enter Your OTP
- Once Registered, You Will Be able to vote after the show
voting on mobile site votes Are Free.
Voting On The Mobile Website:
Below is a guide on how to vote for a contestant on the website after registering;
You may vote your favourite BBN housemate via the Africa Magic mobile site — africamagic.tv/bigbrother
- Click on the BBnaija Vote option.
- Click on Sign in and enter your GSM number e.g. +2340000000
- Enter your chosen password
- Select your favourite housemate.
- Enter your number of votes and cast your vote by clicking VOTE.
Note: Voting on Mobile website are free but limited to 100 votes per user.
How To Vote On Desktop website
To vote via desktop website, you’ll have to register first.
You can register via the Africa Magic mobile site — africamagic.tv/bigbrother
- Click On The Vote Menu Item.
- Click On Register And Enter Your Details ( Name, Surname, Year Of Birth, Gender, Cell Phone Number in the International Format) and your Preferred Password
- You Will Receive An OTP (One Time Authentication Pin) Via SMS.
- Enter Your OTP.
Once Registered, you will be able To Vote once the portal is open.
How To Vote On BBNaija Via MyDSTV App or MyGotv App (Nigerians only)
This season, multichoice introduced voting via the mobile app for only Gotv and Dstv subscribers.
Here is how it is;
All active subscribers on DStv or GOtv, have votes for each round based on their subscription package, the higher the package, the more votes they have!
- Download the MyDStv or MyGOtv App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
- No registration is required; log into the app selecting Nigeria; your surname or mobile number and your smartcard number.
- Once you’ve logged into your MyDStv or MyGOtv app account page, look for the “Vote Now” button.
- You must be an active Nigerian DStv or GOtv subscriber to receive your 100 free app votes.
- Click on “Vote Now” follow the instructions to cast your vote.
- MyDStv and MyGOtv App votes are free.
