Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police, has banned the movement of Federal Sars from all forms of activities ranging from Patrols, Stop and Search and Road blocks.
This was announced in a statement released on Sunday, 4th October by police spokesman, Frank Mba.
The directive of the IGP was prompted by the outcry of citizens, celebrities inclusive, to put an end to sars.
The outrage to end sars is over alleged criminal and extra-judicial actions of SARS officers against citizens in various parts of the country.
Recently, a young man was shot and k!lled by Sars officers in Ughelli, Delta state and his car seized.
