How The #EndSarsMemorial Is Going: Singer Flavour Shares Video From Last Year's Protest In Commemoration (Video)

Protesters have taken to the street today, 20th October 2021, in a bid to commemorate the first anniversary of #EndSARS protests.

The news of the memorial protest was first shared online yesterday, Tuesday 19th October through different fliers.

Many activists, celebrities and entertainers showed solidarity upon receiving the information.

It was stated on the flier that the protest will hold in states such as Lagos, Abia, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Kwara, Oyo, Ondo, Plateau, and Rivers.

Among celebrities who are actively involved in this protest is singer Flavour N'abania.

The singer took to his page to share a video from last year's #Endsars protest to commemorate the fallen heroes.

It is quite sad that after all the efforts, nothing was done, rather more lives were taken.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Command has warned against any form of #EndSARS protest on the basis that the State cannot afford a repeat of the destruction brought about by hoodlums who hijacked the protests of last year.

Throwback:

In October 2020, protests had erupted in different parts of the country against police brutality, especially by the personnel of the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

After few days, the #EndSARS movement garnered international support.

The protests, however, turned bloody on October 20, 2020, when soldiers and policemen fired at the protesters in Lagos, leaving many dead and several others injured.
