Nigerian Navy Reacts To Comedian Cute Abiola’s Missing Report (Photos)

The Nigerian Navy has reacted to the news that popular Instagram skit maker and Naval officer, Ahmed Gafar aka Cute Abiola, has either gone missing or held by them.

Recall it was earlier reported that the skit-maker had gone missing.

His family and friends took to social media to declare him missing after all attempts to reach him for close to 3 days proved abortive.

Cute Abiola was reported to have left his house for office at Navy Town at 06:00 Am on the 15th November, 2021 and is yet to return home to his family and no one has heard from him.

According to his family, Cute Abiola is believed to be in custody of the Nigerian Navy and has been denied food for some hours while the military arm hasn’t categorically stated what his offence is.

Reacting to the news, the Nigerian Navy has now confirmed it detained Cute Abiola, who was declared missing by his relatives.

Speaking to The Gazette, the spokesperson for the navy, Commodore Suleman Dahun;

“The young man was found to have breached the social media policy while he was on leave. So he was recalled, asked to come back, but he refused until he completed his leave which is a disobedience to particular orders."

He reiterated that Cute Abiola was not missing but locked up in his unit for breaching the “Armed Forces social media policy.”

“So, when he came back, we took him into custody for him to face the consequence,” Mr Dahun added.

Nigerian Navy also took to their official Instagram page to release an official statement regarding Cute Abiola's arrest.

It would be recalled that last year, Cute Abiola was arrested for posing in his navy uniform on his birthday.
