Femi Otedola To Give $250,000 To Super Eagles If They Win Tournament In Cameroon


Popular billionaire business man and philanthropist, Femi Otedola has pledged to give the Nigeria national football team, Super Eagles, the sum of $250,000 if the team is able to succeed in winning the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele made the statement on behalf of CACOVID during a visit to the team’s camp in Cameroon.

CACOVID is the coalition of private-sector companies that was set up to assist the government in the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Godwin also stated that the private sector-led platform will award the outstanding Super Eagles squad $120,000 for the six goals they scored in the tournament’s group stage.

Commending the team, Godwin Emefiele stated that CACOVID has upped the sum for every goal scored in the round of 16 to $50,000.
