Nigerian Idol have unveiled Music stars, Simi and Dbanj as judges for its upcoming 7th season which will be premiered on the 6th of February 2022.
The singers will be replacing Seyi Shay and DJ Sose who were judges in season six of the talent show and will be joining Obi Asika on the panel.
TV personality, IK Osakioduwa, will also return as host of the show.
Meanwhile former Nigerian Idol Judge and singer, Seyi Shay, who is currently pregnant has reacted following the unveiling of the new judges.
The Big Girl singer crooner in an interview with Beat FM today, confirmed that she is engaged.
The Beat FM interviewer had inquired about the diamond ring she on her finger and how she got it.
Flaunting the ring, Seyi Shay responded saying;
“Some guy gave it to me and said, ‘hey would you marry me?”
“It’s a diamond ring for real, and it’s forever.”
The pregnant singer confirmed her engagement to be one of the reasons she has been glowing.
Seyi Shay was one of the judges during the sixth edition of Nigerian idol which ended last year, 2021, with Kingdom Kroseide as the winner after months of intense contest.
He took home the grand prize of N30 million in cash and N20 million worth of other gifts.
