The immediate past Governor of Anambra state, Mr Willie Obiano has been arrested by the the Economic and Financial crimes commission, EFCC.
The arrest took place on Thursday night, 17th March, at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos at about 8.30pm.

According to reports, he was on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States after handing over to his successor, Governor Charles Soludo.
Obiano, has been on EFFC watchlist for months.
Accroding to Channels TV, the EFCC had requested the Nigeria Immigration Service to inform it anytime the Governor is travelling out of the country from any of the international airports, as well as other points of entry and exit.
Unconfirmed sources claimed his arrest is connected to financial impropriety while in office.
