Popular Hollywood actor, Will Smith has finally reacted to the decision of the Academy (Oscars) to ban him from its activities for the next ten years.
Recall during the 94th 2022 Oscars award, the actor had slapped popular stand-up comedian, Chris Rock on stage for making a joke about his wife.
Although the actor publicly apologised to Chris Rock and even dropped his resignation, the academy still slapped him with a 10 year ban from all their events.
According to the academy, the 94th Academy Awards had been “overshadowed by the unacceptable and harmful behaviour they saw Mr Smith exhibit on stage”.
Reacting to the 10-year ban from the Oscars, Will Smith, accepted his punishment without question.
In a brief statement via Washington Post, he said; “I accept and respect the Academy’s decision."
