During the 9th episode of the Big Brother Naija shine ya eye reunion show, Angel accused Cross of keeping their friendship away from the public.
According to her, Cross claimed to be her friend but hid her from the public.
She gave instances of how Cross would publicly comment under the posts of their co reality stars eben those he wasn't coosebtondurng the show but ignore hers, only to come into her DM to comment especially if it is a photo.
She gave another instance they both went for a party but Cross didn't want them to go in together.

She stated that Cross never wanted to post her on his status until his voice note with Saskay leaked.
She stated that the first time Cross posted her was when they were both in Dubai and it felt like he was using her as his shield because as at that time, he was being dragged by Saskay's fans over the voice note he sent to her.
She further revealed how in his attempt to avoid being seen with her, Cross refused to help her at the airport with her hand luggage but instead he walked so far away from her.
Explaining why he wasn't so open about his relationship with Angel publicly, Cross revealed that he didn't want to add fuel to the CrossGel ship, he wanted to be his person and she, her own person.
He further noted that he never for once accepted gifts from CrossGel shippers so he doesn't send the wrong narrative, Angel revealed that she didn't collect gifts from their shippers also.
