It is often said that everyone has a past, and Ayra Starr, the award-winning Nigerian female singer and songwriter, has reflected on her own struggles before achieving fame.
This comes after the singer revealed that her hit song, Rush, from her debut album, 19 and Dangerous, is being considered for a nomination at the 66th Grammy Awards.
In a recent Instagram story, the Rush crooner revealed that six years ago, she sold fruits with her grandmother and would sing for anyone who wanted to hear her.
Ayra Starr noted that she had become a successful artist, and people now pay to watch her perform on stage.
She expressed that she will forever be grateful to God for where she is now and His blessings over her life.
Ayra Starr shared a photo of the market where she used to sell fruits and vegetables for her grandmother when she was younger.
In the caption of the photo she wrote,"I will forever be grateful for where i am in my life, and six years ago, i sold vegetables and fruits with my grandma.
Now, people are paying to watch me perform".
Recall that Ayra Starr rose to fame after she released her hit single, Rush, in 2022, which led to her achieving mainstream international recognition that same year.
