The Federal Government of Nigeria is currently hosting the Medal-Winning Super Eagles to a 'befitting' reception in Abuja today, after their second-place finish at the just concluded African Cup of Nations final.
Recall prior to the AFCON final at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday, 11th February, FG promised to host the football team in Abuja.
FG also stated that the players and their officials will be rewarded ‘adequately’ for their efforts at the Africa Cup of Nations, which ended on Sunday in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
However, despite Nigeria losing 2-1 to host nation, Cote D'Ivoire in the finals, the Federal government is still bent on keeping to its words.
The 25-man squad of the Super Eagles arrived in the Federal Capital Territory Tuesday morning, 13th February, for the reception.
In photos and video shared online, the team could be seen seated at different round tables, awaiting their meals.
Members of the coaching crew are also at the breakfast.
