The entertainment industry and Nigeria as a whole have been thrown into mourning as news of the death of popular Nollywood actor, Jnr Pope hit the internet
The actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo popularly called Jnr Pope sadly died this afternoon, wednesday, 10th April while filming in Asaba, Delta State.
According to reports, the actor and some other actors, yet to be identified, died during a boat ride on their way to a movie location.
The boat capsized along the Anan river in Anambra state and him alongside his colleagues fell into the river and drowned.
His body was recovered and rushed to the hospital, unfortunately, he was confirmed dead.
The movie star and skit-maker was aged 39.
His death has been confirmed by Delta State Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emma Onyemeziem, who revealed that the actor's corpse has been deposited in the morgue.
Minutes before his death, the actor had made a video of him during the boat ride.
He was heard begging the boat rider to slow down, stating that he was the only child, and he had three children to train.
