Junior Pope: Late Nollywood Makeup Artist, Abigail Frederick Given A Befitting Burial In Akwa Ibom Today

The late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Fredrick, has finally been laid to rest.

She was buried at her hometown in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, on Monday, 15th April.

Recall Abigail, aged 24, had earlier been buried by the river side where she drowned in Anambra state.

She was one the the victims of the boat accident that took 5 lives, including popular Nollywood actor Junior Pope.

Unfortunately, due to her family's inability to provide the funds required to perform the necessary traditional rites needed for her body to be shipped home, she was buried beside the river, alongside those of her colleagues excluding Junior Pope.

However, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, intervened and her body alongside the other three crew members were exhumed and hers transported back home for proper burial.

Abigail has finally been laid to rest in her hometown in Ikot Udoma today and she was given a befitting burial.

According to a Facebook user who shared photos from the burial ceremony, the funeral service was conducted by the Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma.

It was attended by various dignitaries, including the Eket Transition Committee Chairman, Akaniyene Tommey; Commissioner for Tourism, Charles Udoh; SA on Entertainment, Moses Eskor; Godfada Uko, members of the Eket Transition Committee, Nollywood actress, Eve Esin, the Nollywood community, friends, and sympathisers."
