In the Igbo culture, one of the most pivotal role in their traditional marriage involves the groom accepting the bride's wine and returning with her to her father for his blessings.
In one of the videos from the ongoing wedding ceremony of Davido and Chioma, the bride could be seen searching for her groom holding a cup of palmwine.
When she eventually found him, she went on both knees to present it to the singer who in turn accepted and drank from it.
Then they proceeded to the family of the bride to ask for their blessings.
