Popular veteran nollywood actress, Toyin Adewale's son and Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) singer, Mayorkun, has made it known in a recent interview that his mother's popularity did not in any way influence his music career.
'Mama', crooner revealed that it upsets him and hurts his ego whenever he hears that his mom’s influence is what has helped his music career.
In an exclusive chat with Showtime, he explained that contrary to what the public thinks, his mom hardly knows any hip-hop artiste. He boasted that she rides on the wings of his success in the music industry and not the other way round.
“First, no disrespect, but my mom has no impact on my entertainment influence. My mom is in fact the person who wants me to go into banking other than music so she never spoke to anybody, she never had any influence. To be happen. By the way, my mom is not even in Nigeria, so I do my things myself.”
