The UK police has threatened to sack one of it's officers and current housemate in the ongoing Big Brother Naija 2019 reality show, Khafi Kareem from duty.

29-year-old Khafi who is a Metropolitan Police officer, went into the Big Brother Naija show despite being refused permission by her bosses.

According to The Sun, Scotland Yard (metonym for the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police Service  (MPS), the territorial police force responsible for policing all but the inner core of London) said it had not granted her request to appear on the programme and that an internal investigation would be carried out.

The Metropolitan police said she was on unpaid leave granted “for an unrelated reason” before being refused permission to appear on the show.

Despite not being permitted to be on the show, Khafi joined the show, where she has been caught on camera several times having s£x with fellow housemate, 31 year old Ekpata Gedoni.

Their romance has viewers gripped but she is facing an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.

Furious over her disobedience, one of her colleagues said;
“She’s a serving British police officer — it’s outrageous.
She asked permission to go on the show but, when her request was refused, she went anyway".

“Her out-of-office email reply blatantly says that she is away from work, yet no one does anything"

“Other officers working with her are furious that she can just disobey orders and tarnish the reputation of the force.” Khafi's colleague added.


A spokesman said: “The Met does not support the officer’s appearance nor does she represent the Met whilst appearing on the show.”

The force added that any officer found to have breached police standards of professional behaviour could face misconduct proceedings.
