The Treasury House located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja which houses the office of the Accountant General of the Federation was gutted by fire this morning Wednesday April 8th.
The Accountant General of the Federation is the administrative head of the treasury of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to reports, the fire started from the third floor, razing the building upwards including the Accountant General’s office and most of the important offices.
Strange that the treasury building was gutted by fire even though workers are currently at home observing the lockdown.
A combined team of men of the Federal and FCT Fire Services, as well as other security operatives, have to a large extent contain the fire.

The cause of the fire is still yet to be ascertained.
