Seems the surprising stunt Davido pulled today which many perceived as a joke is really paying off.
It would be recalled that in a video posted on his Insta story today, Wednesday, 17th November, Davido called on the verified members of his 30BG and friends to each send him money.
Making reference to the popular saying 'We rise by lifting others, Davido noted that he has been lifting others for the past 100 years and now he wants to know whom his real friends are.
He requested that all his friends should come through for him by sending him one million naira each adding that anyone who refuses to send will no longer be a member of his 30BG.
The challenge went viral and alot of celebrities and top Nigerian dignitaries took it up including his rich fans, sending him money as an early birthday present.
So far, the singer has received money from celebrities like BBNaija stars, Nengi and Dorathy, Perruzi, Teni, Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Zlatan, Cubana Chief Priest and Chike, to mention a few.
He has also received money from Oyo State House of Representatives member, Akin Alabi, businessman and socialite, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-money and Obinna Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana.
The singer has been updating his Instagram stories regularly with screenshots of transactions and individually thanking everyone who sent him money.
