Organ Harvesting: Meet David Nwamini Ukpo, The Boy Senator Ekweremadu Took To The UK (Real Age, Photos)

The young boy flown to the UK to donate one of his kidneys to Ike Ekweremadu’s daughter, Sonia Ekweremadu, who has a kidney ailment, has been identified to be David Ukpo Nwamini.

The procedure was scheduled to take place at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

The boy hails from Ebonyi state.

According to a neighbour, David resides in Lagos with his elder brother, Linus, whom he assists with his phone accessories business in the market.

Real Age:

David, who was to donate a kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu, daughter of Ike Ekweremadu, reported himself to British authorities that he was held under conditions of slavery.

He had reportedly told UK authorities that he’s 15 which led to the arrest of Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice in UK on Thursday,  23rd June, and they've both been denied bail.

However, the passport data page of David Ukpo Nwamini’s says he is above 20.

Ekweremadu had provided an introductory letter with the passport, in the medical visa application submitted to the British High Commission in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

According to the data page, David is 21.

The date of issuance of the passport is indicated as November 4, 2021 while his date of birth is October 12, 2000. This puts the age of the passport holder in question at 21.

However, under British law, being above 18 is not enough. The question of consent is another burden the Ekweremadus will have to discharge.

Shortly after the news of Ekweremadu’s arrest, David Ukpo shared a cool photo of himself on his Facebook handle with the caption;

“Grace sweet

Let us keep hustling”
