Popular Nigerian gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo, has been called out by Evangelist Victor Edet, over her engagement photos.
Mimi's Blog reported yesterday that the talented singer announced her engagement to her boo, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of The Waterbrook Church, where singer, Banky W also pastors in.
Breaking the good news to her fans and followers, the Chinedum crooner shared some adorable engagement photos where she flaunted her diamond ring.
Reacting to the news, Nigerians including celebrities, stormed the comment section to congratulate her, however, a certain Evangelist Victor Edet chose that moment to school her on holiness.
Taking to his Facebook page to congratulate her, the Evangelist slammed her for putting on a ring and also wearing makeup.
According to him, using ring for a wedding engagement is totally wrong and unacceptable because the bible forbids the use of rings and jewels.
Frowning at the makeup she had on her engagement photos, the Evangelist noted that wearing makeup is another sin of its own because only prostitutes use it, as stated in the bible.
