Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor has taken to social media to plead for funds for kidney transplant.
The actor who is in a critical condition has called on Nigerians for financial aid to help him undergo a kidney transplant in India.
Recall news of Muonagor illness first reached the surfaced online early November, 2023.
The actor disclosed he was suffering from kidney failure, adding that he had a stroke and was paralysed on one side of his body.
Sadly, over the month, Muonagor's health has deteriorated, prompting him to seek for public support to be flown to India for transplant.
In a heartfelt video post shared on Instagram on Monday, 18th March, the actor was spotted lying still on a bed.
Sitting next to Monagor was fellow actor Kingsley Orji who appealed to fans and well-wishers for financial support on his behalf, emphasising on the urgency of the transplant.
According to the actor, Muonagor has been in that critical condition for months adding that the kidney issues have caused speech issues for the ailing actor.
In his words;
"We decided to bring him home because there was no money but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help."
Sharing the video on his page, the caption reads;
"Special Public Appeal on our Veteran Nollywood actor Amechi Monagor, please my brothers and sisters lets help him more to go for the kidney transplant in india."
