The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning as one of its veterans, Andy Best, passes on.
The popular Nollywood actor, producer and movie marketer Ikechukwu Nnandi better known as Andy Best was confirmed dead on Tuesday, 19th March at a private clinic in Owerri, Imo state.
Andy Best who had been around the movie industry for decades and has produced famous movies, including ‘Lion of Africa’, ‘White Poison’, ‘My Father’s Cup’, and many more, was said to have battled an undisclosed prolonged ailment before his untimely demise.
His remains have since been deposited at the Aladinma Mortuary in Owerri.
The sad news of his death was confirmed by the convener of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) Seun Oloketuyi, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Oloketuyi wrote;
“Andy Best, a top Nollywood producer and marketer, is dead.
“He died in an Owerri hospital today.”

Until his death, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Andy Best Production.
Andy Best's death comes few weeks after Nollywood actor Mr Ibu's untimely demise after suffering a cardiac arrest.
