The Nigerian entertainment industry and Nigerians as a whole have been thrown into mourning following reports that veteran actor and former Mr. Nigeria runner-up, Alexx Ekubo, has passed away today, May 12, 2026.
According to reports making rounds online, the actor was rushed to the hospital on Monday, May 11, 2026, after allegedly battling a serious illness believed to be cancer-related. Sources within the entertainment industry claimed his condition later became critical before he was reportedly placed on life support.
Sadly, he reportedly passed away today, Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
While an official statement from the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) are still pending, former President Emeka Rollas has reportedly acknowledged his demise via a post shared on his official instagram page some minutes ago.
